The intials FOCCSP are for Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park. We are a Chapter with the Friends of Georgia State Parks and Historical Sites. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization as defined by the IRS.
A chapter is like a business having several Doing Business As (dba) names. Each chapter uses the name of the park or historical site they are supporting in their name.
At the chapter level, there are more than 50 Friends chapters. Each one partners directly with their park or historic site to support projects and programs that make a tangible difference. Statewide, our volunteers contributed around 75,000 volunteer hours last year. That equates to an in-kind value of over $2.25 million. In addition to hands-on work, our chapters raise critical funds that support improvements, conservation efforts, and educational programs helping keep Georgia’s parks among the best in the nation.
